Mid Winter Swim

This happened a few months ago, but I have only just got around to embedding it into our blog!!! It looked like a great day and I wish I had been able to be there too. We are using Voicethread as a way of orally communicating our ideas, and we are learning to speak clearly so that we can easily be understood.

Genuis cafe

At the Genius Cafe there was two days on one of the days students taught students and on the second day students taught teachers.There were ipads with about nine or more pages of games there were ipad ones and ipad twos. There was Storybird I made a story called One Stormy Night where a polar lost his way to the fancy fish mongers restaurant. Then there was a video called saely or something like that where he was a robot and he had some cool as moves.

Yesterday 15 September.Room 10 went for a vist to the Suter Art Gallery to learn about the rugby world cup players.We played a game where you had to pick one of the players and look at it hard then turn around and your group that you were in had to ask you questions about that player, Like what team he was in what colour his top was and all sorts of things. We got to make rosettes and put them on players that had lost their game

Learn math in an easy way

In room 10 we have a math class for only year 6'S. In room 10 we have been looking at fractions and decimal points. We have two groups that learn about fractions but ones harder than the other. In my group we have learnt to work out muckey fractions like 5 over 2. We divide the bottem number into the to the top number and see how many times it goes into the number.So the anwser is 2 and 1 fith. In our class most people get what we learnt.
