Writing

In our writing we are trying to paint a picture in the readers minds by 'showing not telling'.  This means we need to use adjectives, verbs and adverbs to try and paint this picture with our words.

We will soon be using this technique in our short narrative stories.  Keep an eye out and let us know whether we have managed to paint a picture in your mind with our words. We are trialling 'Little Bird Tales' as a medium for publishing some of our narrative stories.  Let us know what you think.

You can let us know by posting a comment under our writing sample.

Arguments:
We have recently been discussing Cyber-Safety which lead onto a discussion about Facebook. We found out that over 50% of our class has a Facebook account even though they are meant to be 13 before they can get one.  The class did a  PMI (Plus, Minus and Interesting) brainstorming session in small groups and then as a whole class about Facebook.  From this some children are writing  arguments for or against Facebook, and how they can make sure they can keep themselves safe.

Again we would love your feedback on our posts.  Remember to say who you are and where you are from. :)
